Salty water causes wide protests in Abadan outside governor’s office
Scenes of families in Abadan waiting in long queues to receive portions of purified water have been wired today. They have been proceeding in the same way overnights as local water has gone salty.
This tragedy is happening in Khuzestan Province, located in the southwest and so far no urgent action has been put out by the government.
Locals say the water is unsafe and smells unhygienically. Our share of oil deals on our land is to be unemployed and left thirsty.
Dozens of protesters staged a gathering to strongly demand the governor to deal with the case. They said our enemy is right here and not the US, calling the authorities lousy of their duties.
