Ramin’s father tricked into making interview instead of getting to visit son
Information agents and security officials took Ramin Hossein Panahi’s 85-year-old father to see his son but then as it turned out this visit was a hoax to get the father on camera about his son’s imminent execution.
Political prisoner Ramin Hossein Panahi is up against an unfair death sentence in Sanandaj, capital of Kurdistan Province in Iran.
The family of the prisoner in Iran report that intelligent services from Qorveh County came to their house yesterday and told Ramin’s father they will take him to his son. On the way as they had the father with them, they threatened to execute Ramin if his father didn’t accept to make video message.
“I have not said anything against my son & I will not say it,” tells the father later at home explaining what happened the earlier day. He said he was forced to do “a compulsory talk” for a few minutes.
Other posts on Twitter by Ramin’s brother mention that as a result of a large gathering outside Sanandaj Prison last night, authorities were not able to carry out the death sentence but he expects this inhuman act to happen soon.
