Poultry Farmer Union goes on strike in Tehran
In Tehran, right outside of the Majlis or Parliament, protesters of the Poultry Union have formed a gathering calling on Hojati to resign.
They write on their banners that we are poor and have been bankrupt. The poultry farmers who gather in Tehran are joining from the cities Semnan, Shahrud, Aligudarz, and Ardebil.
Rouhani had earlier announced the Iranian new year to be a year for national production, but these farmers fear that this will not be the case for them. They complain that they have no grains to feed the chickens and hens with.
