According to reports gathered by Iran News Wire from Iran, workers and defrauded investors demanded their economic rights in at least eight protests in various cities.
Today, defrauded creditors of the Shadi Gold Institution gathered outside the Judiciary in Tehran demanding their stolen savings.
The video published on social media showed the mostly female protesters chanting and asking the Judiciary for justice.
Also today, a large number of defrauded car buyers of the Ramak Khodro gathered outside a Tehran court demanding their money as a court hearing into the corruption of the car company was being held.
More than 7,000 people have pressed charges against Ramak Khodro. They say that more than two years after transferring money into the company’s account, they still have not received their automobiles.
Participants in a public notary test gathered today in Tehran outside the Public and Revolutionary Court demanding the annulment of the test. It was not clear why they were demanding the annulment.
Also today, a large number of HEPCO workers in the industrial city of Arak in western Iran gathered for the 5th consecutive day outside the province’s judiciary to demand their wages.
HEPCO is the largest heavy equipment manufacturer in the Middle East.
The workers also gathered yesterday, blocking the north- south railway. According to the ISNA state-run News Agency the workers were demanding their delayed paychecks and protesting the undetermined state of the company.
According to the ILNA News Agency, the workers said that they were worried about their job security and that the CEO of the company had given forced leaves to workers without pay.
The report said that in the past five months, the workers had only received one month of their complete paychecks.
Yesterday, members of the Tehran Electrical Workers’ Housing Cooperatives, who have still not received the land they bought years ago, gathered outside the Ministry of Labor.
The protesters told the state-run ILNA News Agency that the Municipality of Hashtgerd was going to divide 38 pieces of land for 1,970 people without considering the old maps of the region that showed the promised divisions.
Yesterday, workers of the Farabi Petrochemical Company went on strike in the factory in protest to the expulsion of 12 of their colleagues and the violation of their rights.
The protesters told ILNA that the heads of the company had not carried out their promises and the official decisions that were made for job classifications in the company.
Pensioners of the Western Azarbaijan Telecommunications company gathered yesterday outside the province’s Central Telecom Department in northwestern Iran demanding their unpaid pensions.
The protesters told ILNA that there were around 500 pensioners from the telecom company demanding regulations be met.
Despite the regime’s widespread crack down on any form of dissent, Iranians continue to hold daily protests all over Iran to demand their economic rights.
