Iran unable to halt truckers' strike
Incoming footages and images sent by striking truck drivers in Iran show a very strong union between the heavy transportation network of more than 65 cities in the country. No truck was loaded today though authorities tried desperately to make the drivers get back to work as the situation has no fallen out of their hands.
One driver sent a message telling the government that it had always had the least respect for the truck drivers but they are one the hardest working industry for the country and without them, Iran doesn’t stand a chance to operate everyday needs.
This has clearly been demonstrated by just a day passing since the truckers announced their demands for higher transportation fees, as gas stations in the Fars Province have put up signs that petrol has ran out.
Some other drivers report that threatening SMS were sent to their mobile phones telling them to halt the strike.
