Online videos appears to show a new round of Iran protests spreading to all walks of life
As the truckers’ strike in Iran entered its second day on July 24th, footage and images received from the social media activists showed that the strike spread to several cities such as Mashhad, Qazvin, Zahedan, Chalus, Farrokh Shahr, Isfahan, Sabzevar, and Marand.
The truckers who participated in this strike protesting their unsolved calamities and refused to load their trucks.
Sources say from Tuesday morning most of the truckers’ loading terminal stations in Khomeini port in Tehran and Yazd province were very empty.
Worker and employee strikes
- Earlier today the fired workers at the petrochemical complex in Mahshahr port protested against the expulsion of a large number of workers.
- The Zagros Railway Workers of Andimeshk in Khuzestan Province gathered in front of its administration demanding their non-payment salary of 3 months.
- Khomeini Hospital’s staff in Karaj gathered in front of the hospital’s emergency department protesting against their unpaid wages for months.
- Farmers in Asghar Abad, Isfahan, gathered in front of Isfahan provincial government protesting against power failure and lack of the water.
