Contradictory remarks of Iranian officials
Following US’ Iran nuclear deal exit, tensions are rising to a high level inside the Iranian regime’s ranks.
Iran’s supreme leader Khamenei said: “I had said if you want to sign a contract, get the necessary guarantees and then close the deal. One of the conditions I placed forward was that the U.S. President must sign the document. Our honorable officials worked very hard, and yet failed… I don’t trust these three countries [referring to France, Germany, and the United Kingdom]…
Rouhani said on state television that President Trump’s decision to pull the U.S. out of the deal last week was a “violation of morals,” and reminded that the supreme leader blessed the nuclear talks from day one and continuously kept a close eye on the developments.
