Civil activist had heart attack in prison
Ali Nouri, 25 and civil rights’ activist, has been sentenced to seven and a half years in prison for the allegation of spreading propaganda against the state.
The court, headed by Judge Ahmadzadeh, in the 26th branch of Tehran passed out his verdict in which Ali shared on his Instagram page.
His arrest took place in December 2017 and he was taken to a quarantine in Evin Prison where he suffered a heart attack. Being watched over by Revolutionary Guards he only got to receive a quick check-up in the prison clinic. After a few days, he was transferred to Rajaie Shahr Prison in Karaj, west of Tehran. Subsequently, Nouri was given a temporary release on bail on February 4, until his trial.
