Authority incapable to solve water crisis in Khuzestan province
Okra farmers in Veys and Mollasani are furious at how the government has not been providing their right to water in Khuzestan.
Local families gathered today at the Ahwaz-Mollasani highway at the water supply company shouting “al-Atish” in anger, which means we are dead thirsty.
Much of Iran (90% of the cities) is suffering from drought but inaction by authorities remains to be the main problem. In past weeks farmers in Isfahan had also protested saying officials have diverted the province’s main river to neighboring Yazd Province causing their farms to suffer.
