European Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid declared that this was the worst event of its kind during the past 15 years in Iran and it affected two thousand cities, towns, and on 31 provinces in Iran.
On Wednesday morning, the Iranian Red Crescent Society announced that 11 provinces are facing problems with floods.
The Iranian state media announced that the number of the death toll has risen to 76 but locals challenge with this toll arguing that many villages were destroyed and residents died while there was no official presence in the region to help.
According to the Iranian officials, the flood last week caused more than
$ 2.5 billion in damage to the whole nation.
Despite claims by Iranian regime officials that it is not possible to provide assistance to Iran from other countries due to US sanctions, several countries, including Germany, Italy, and Kuwait, have delivered cargoes to help Iran. But, flood-hit people are complaining about the lack of assistance from the Iranian Government, and many videos on the Internet prove this fact.
