Piranshahr merchants join widespread strikes

On Wednesday, April 18, the merchants and shop owners of Piranshahr, Kurdistan, went on strike in protest the closure of border gates by the regime and new customs rules that will damage their businesses.

Piranshahr has joined a raft of cities that have been protesting to the new imports regulations by the regime. The strikes initially started in Baneh, Kurdistan, and Javanroud, Kermanshah, and have since expanded to other cities in the western region of the country.
