All Sugarcane Workers At Haft-Tappe Industries Go On Strike

Workers in all sections of Haft-Tappe sugarcane farming industries stopped working and walked out on a strike today, Tuesday March 27, 2018.

Following the publication of a list of farmlands that are being transferred and the news of layoffs of workers as the result of these transfers in the coming months,  all workers stopped working and staged a protest and strike outside the company.

The protesting workers walked toward the Haft-Tappe main Bazaar and chanted “we are Haft-Tappe workers, we’re hungry.”

Following their strike the workers set fire to some signs and banners hung by the supervisors at the factory.
